Dr. Eric Rose is the Medical Director for McKesson Physician Practice Solutions. He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a practicing family physician.
Dr. Rose provided clinical leadership for ambulatory EHR systems at the University of Washington for seven years, and holds faculty appointments there in the Department of Family Medicine and the Division of Biomedical and Health Informatics. He received a graduate certificate in Medical Informatics from the Oregon Health and Science University, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, co-chair of the Ambulatory Work Group of the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), and serves on the Public Policy Committee of the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).
He has written and spoken extensively on healthcare informatics and electronic health records. In his most recent publication, he served as contributor and associate editor of the book H.I.T. or Miss: Lessons Learned from Health Information Technology Implementation published by AHIMA.
